Develop and maintain web maps and applications for mitigation and risk management. Create and improve geospatial data for emergency planning and response.
Worked with developers in the Enterprise Geospatial Program Management Office (EGPMO) to contribute code to and test in-house open-source routing and mapping applications. Created custom web maps and applications using JavaScript, Python and PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
Assisted with the technical review of NYC cleanup projects and project documentation. Researched regulatory guidance, soil disposal, funding sources, and historical OER remediation projects. Applied GIS and programming to create web maps and update the project management database.
Determine the efficacy of predicting residential energy consumption in the US using census demographics data. Apply GIS, programming, and statistics to geographically analyze residential energy use across three regions: NYC metropolitan area, New York State, and the contiguous US.
Developed and administered an online survey exploring the factors driving drinking water choices. Used stratified sampling to collect water quality information from drinking fountains across NYC.
One of my biggest passions has always been community service. I've been volunteering since high school, where I was with the American Red Cross of Greater New York. In college I joined a co-ed community service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega, winning USC's service organization of the year in 2014. Most recently, I was a docent at the American Museum of Natural History for their Earth and Space exhibits.
When not volunteering, I spend my time discovering new music from indie artists, going to upcoming Broadway plays and musicals, introducing new board games to my friends, and reading novels across every genre of fiction. I also like to inundate myself with random trivia. (I know all 197 world capitals, Taiwan and Kosovo included.)
